DAMAULI, April 23: Six people have been injured when a passenger bus going towards Pokhara from Sunauli met with an accident at 2.0 am on the Prithvi highway in Tanahu today. The bus (Na 5 Kha 5330) veered and fell down five feet from the road at Sheratar of Shuklagandaki municipality-7.
Forty people were traveling on the bus. Those injured in the mishap are 54-year-old Muniram Mohariya of Uttar Pradesh, India; his wife, 48-year-old Kanchan Mohariya; Dhana Kumar Pariyar, 30, of Myagdi Annapurna rural municipality-1; Resham Shah, 39, of Kapilbastu municipality-9; Hari Bahadur Chhantyal, 36, of Parbat Kusma municipality-1; and 10-year-old Rabi Pariyar also of Parbat Kusma municipality-1, police said.
The injured are undergoing treatment at the GP Koirala Respiratory Disease Treatment Centre at Belchautara. The bus driver is absconding and the police are searching for him. RSS
