DHARAN, Oct 16: The District Administration Office (DAO), Sunsari, has enforced a six-day prohibitory order in the district starting Friday midnight to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The prohibitory order has been imposed to restrict mass gatherings of people in religious places like temples, mosques, and monasteries for worship to help contain the spread of COVID-19. However, people are allowed to perform religious activities if they visit these holy places individually.
The local administration has also banned organizing religious fairs, conferences and other functions to exchange greetings of Dashain during the period.
