KATHMANDU, May 10: The Metropolitan Police Crime Division has arrested six Chinese nationals along with currencies from various countries worth Rs 47.56 million today.
The team arrested the Chinese along with a tourist vehicle from Nagdhunga while they were smuggling the currencies from Kathmandu to China via Galchhi, Rasuwa and Kerung check point, said Superintendent of Police, Prakash Jung Karki.
A total of 4.9 million US dollar, 14,400 Chinese Yuan, 3.1 million Japanese Yen, 2,200 Swiss Franc, 1,400 Australian dollar, 1,100 Pound Sterling and Rs 24,600 were seized from the Chinese nationals. RSS
