MAKWANPUR, Sept 28: Six young players from the ANFA Football Academy in Indrasarowar Rural Municipality-3, Makwanpur, who went missing due to a landslide on Saturday morning, have been found dead.
As per the Area Police Office (APO), Bhimphedi, six of the 40 academy players staying at a hostel in Batsala Secondary School in Indrasarovar Rural Municipality-3, were buried by a sudden landslide while trying to evade another landslide during evacuation.

Chief District Officer of Makwanpur, Tirtha Raj Chiluwal, confirmed that the bodies of all six missing players were recovered.
According to the chief of the APO, Inspector Lalita Dhakal, the six academy players of Under-16 age group have been identified as Aditya Balami from Sarlahi, Priyatna Acharya from Kathmandu, Anupam Ghalan, Symond Yonjon and Diwas Baniya from Makwanpur, and Bikal Regmi from Bara.
Inspector Dhakal informed Republica that the dead bodies as well as the remaining players from the ANFA Academy have been airlifted to Kathmandu by helicopter.
