KATHMANDU, Jan 25: Sita Dahal, the spouse of CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman and former prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has been discharged from hospital. Dahal had contracted COVID-19 and was undergoing treatment at ICU at the Mediciti Hospital, Lalitpur since Friday.
A medical team led by Dr Baburam Pokharel, a senior neurologist, was involved in the regular health check-up of Dahal. According to Dr Pokhrel, Dahal's condition is improving and she has been advised to go home.
However, he said that Dahal is advised to come to the hospital for further treatment as soon as the effect of the coronavirus fades.
Similarly, according to Dr Nilamani Upadhyaya, chief of Clinical Services and Education of the hospital, Medicity Hospital is equipped with excellent technology, infrastructure and treated Dahal and discharged her on Tuesday due to her improved health.
Dahal has been a patient of Parkinson's disease for a long time.
