KATHMANDU, Nov 4: Sirish Gurung, Gaurika Singh and Sofia Shah are set to take part in the FINA World Cup swimming tournament slated to be held in Dubai, UAE on Friday and Saturday.
The event will also serve as the selection event for the 2016 Rio Olympics.

According to Nepal Swimming Association, the players were selected for the event based on their performance during the 16th FINA World Swimming Championship recently held in Russia.
Shyam Sundar Adhikari, treasurer of the association, will be the manager of the team. Sirish and Sofia are currently under closed-camp training in Thailand, while Gaurika is in London with her parents. Manager Adhikari left for Dubai on Wednesday.
