KATHMANDU, Dec 7: Sipradi Trading Pvt Ltd (STPL), the authorized distributor of Tata Motors for Nepal, is all set to organize 'Tata Tipper Expo' in Naikap on December 9 and 10.
Issuing a press statement, the company said that the expo will showcase latest models of tipper trucks.
"Customers can exchange their old tipper trucks with the new ones during the expo," the statment said. The statement further added that the company will also check the condition of the old tippers, buy old tippers and provide finance and insurance facility to customers buying a new tipper truck.
Vibor introduces fixed deposit scheme
Vibor Society Development Bank has introduced a 222-day fixed deposit scheme. Issuing a statement, the bank said that customers will get 9 percent interest on 222-day fixed depsoit. The development bank has also requested all its customers to take benefit from the scheme from its 42 branch offices.

NT, China Telecom sign MoU for Internet connectivity
Nepal Telecom (NT) and China Telecom Global (CTG) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for connecting Nepal with terrestrial cable route.
According to a statement issued by NT, the terrestrial cable route will be connected to Nepal via Jillong gateway along Nepal-China border. Lochan Lal Amatya, chief technical officer of NT and Ow Yang, executive vice president of CTG, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. As per the MoU, Nepal can have Internet connectivity from China.
Such connectivity, so far, is possible only through India. NT is connected to different telecom companies of India through Bhairahawa, Birgunj and Biratnagar. "Nepal can take huge benefit from the new route and establish itself as a transit hub," Amatya said in the signing ceremony. He exuded confidence that CTG will provide quality service to Nepal. Likewise, Yang said that CTG was working to extend the route in the Himalayan region. He expressed commitment to provide quality service to Nepal.
JCB starts 3S facility in Surkhet
MAW Earthmovers Pvt Ltd -- the sole distributor JCB Earthmoving and Construction Equipment -- has started a new 3S facility in Surkhet. Issuing a statement, the company said that the new facility will provide world class sale, service and spare parts facility.
"The new branch has been established to address immensely growing demand for JCB machines in the mid-western region," the statement added. The new facility -- located at Khajura Chowk of Surkhet -- was jointly inaugurated by Yam Bahadur BC, president of Association of Construction Entrepreneurs, Surkhet and Balkrishan Basyal,
Product Support Manager of JCB India. "With the addition of a new branch in Surkhet, MAW Earthmovers will now be providing 3S facility from 10 branches. Currently, we have been providing 3S facility from Kathmandu, Pokhara, Butwal, Dhangadi, Itahari, Birgunj, Janakpur, Chitwan and Dang," the statement added.
