Shrestha carded three-under 33 on the front nine as he shot an eagle on the third hole and a birdie on the first. However, he carded two-over 38 on the back nine. Shrestha suffered a bogey on the 10th hole and a double-bogey on the 13th. He managed a birdie on the 14th hole.
Shamim Khan and Ranjit Singh of India are the joint leaders with a total of eight-under 136. Khan shot six-under 66 on Monday while Singh shot four-under 68.
Two other Nepali pros participating in the tournament missed the cut applied at eight-over 152 after the completion of 36 holes. Sanjay Lama, who carded three-over 75 on Monday, faltered on Tuesday and shot eight-over 80. He remained in the 49th place with a total of 11-over 155.
Krishna Man Rajbahak remained in the 60th place with a total of 21-over 165 after playing 10-over 82 on Tuesday. He had carded 11-over 83 on Monday.
The invitational tournament is organized by the Bangladesh Golf Federation (BGF) under the aegis of Bangladesh Professional Golfers´ Association (BPGA).
