KATHMANDU, Dec 1: The shopkeepers of Bagbazar have started a symbolic protest by closing their shops after the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) imposed a complete ban on parking in the Bagbazar area.
The shopkeepers complained that the complete ban on parking has affected their business. The shopkeepers started the protest by closing their shops from 1PM on Thursday.
They have demanded the metropolis to allow parking in the area or else make arrangements for a parking lot.
The KMC has been impounding vehicles parked on the streets of Bagbazar to manage traffic congestion.
