'Shiva Sena' cadres attack vehicles

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: A group of hooligans, identifying themselves cadres of the Bikram Bam-led Rastriya Shiva Sena Party, have set a taxi on fire in Basundhara and vandalized a micro bus near Balaju in the capital on Monday morning.



Four persons—two from Dhumbarahi and two from Budhanilkantha—have been detained in connection with the attack, DSP Dhiraj Pratap Singh, spokesperson at the Metropolitan Police Range, Hanumandhoka, said. [break]



The taxi (Ba 1 Ja 4994) was completely destroyed in the fire, while the micro bus (Ba 1 Ja 7834) has suffered damages. The hooligans fled soon after launching the attacks. No apparent reason for the attacks is known yet.  Police are investigating the incident.
