KATHMANDU, August 20: Yadav Chandra Sharma from Sankhuwasabha district was appointed to the post of Chief of Bagmati Province on Friday.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari appointed Sharma as the chief of Bagmati Province as per Article 163 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.

Sharma was appointed to the post on the recommendation of a Cabinet meeting held on Thursday, according to a press statement from the President’s Office.

President Bhandari also removed Bishnu Prasad Prasai who was serving as the chief of Bagmati Province on the same day.
