KATHMANDU, March 24: Shares worth Rs 1.72 billion were traded in the share market this week.
According to Nepal Stock Exchange, a total of 4.6 million units of shares of 173 companies were traded. The traded amount was up by 32.99 per cent as compared to the previous week.
This week, Nepal Life Insurance Company Ltd. was on the top position on the basis of transaction. Shares worth Rs 165.8 million were transacted.

Similarly, Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank Ltd. was on the top position on the basis of number of transacted shares. It transacted 214,000 units of shares.
