Severe heat claims two in Saptari

SAPTARI, June 8: Two persons died of excessive heat, increased for the past few days, in Saptari district on Monday.

The deceased have been identified as 64-year Sanjha Devi Sardar of Shambhunath Municipality-9 and Lekhman BK, 45, of Neta Batase VDC-9 in Solukhumbu district.


According to family members of Sardar, she died after falling unconscious due to excessive heat at her home.

BK died after falling unconscious all of sudden in a bus when he was heading towards Dharan from Katari, according to the District Police Office, Saptari.

Trade and business activities in the district headquarters, Rajbiraj, have been affected due to excessive heat. Movement of people in markets has decreased due to this, it is learnt. RSS
