PARBAT, May 31: A 19-year-old man has allegedly raped a seven-year-old girl at Bihadi rural municipality of south Parbat district, said the police.

Local resident Suraj Pariyar, a construction worker, lured the child and raped her some yards away from local Chandra Secondary School, said inspector Mitra Bahadur Acharya. The rapist admitted to the crime which took place on Tuesday evening.
The police arrested absconding Pariyar the same evening from Uram. The survivor has been sent to Pokhara-based Gandaki Zonal Hospital for treatment. Investigations are on, said Acharya.
