Seven-year-old awaits help at Gangalal Heart Centre

MYAGDI, Dec 4: A non-governmental organization has launched a campaign to fundraise for the treatment of a seven – year – old girl reeling from a heart ailment. 



The Om Kumari Shanti Trust will be collecting funds for treatment of Aranima Nepali of Beni Municipality – 2 suffering from a hollow in her heart. Nepali – a Grade 3 student at Gyanpunja Primary School at Ratnechaur locality – comes from an economically backward family. The student is currently being admitted at the Sahid Gangalal National Heart Centre in Kathmandu. 



The doctors have said her heart surgery will cost Rs 450,000 and assured of a successful operation. Aranima's father, Budhe Damai, and mother, Nisha Nepali, have issued an appeal for saving their child's life. 



Aranima's parents have been earning a living by doing manual work and as farmers. The amount is too much for them. 



The Shanti Trust on Friday formed a subcommittee under the coordination of its Vice Chairman Hari Krishna Gautam to raise funds. 



Trust's Chairman Rajesh Shakya, founding Chair Chandra Kumar KC and Nirajan Thapa from Ratnechaur have donated Rs 5,000 each. The Om Kumari Shanti Trust – established two years ago – has already raised funds for treatment of 25 individuals so far. RSS
