Seven-party meeting underway at parliament building

KATHMANDU, Dec 26: A meeting of seven political parties summoned by Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar has started at parliament building New Baneshwor on Monday afternoon.

The Speaker had summoned the meeting of parties with more than 10 lawmakers in a bid to forge a consensus on lifting the obstruction at parliament.

Opposition lawmakers have been obstructing parliament meeting demanding with the government to withdraw the constitution amendment bill.

Earlier, the Speaker had summoned a meeting of the three major political parties. But, the meeting had failed to reach a conclusion.
