Seven districts of Sudurpaschim are incommunicado

KATHMANDU, June 8: Seven mountainous districts of Sudurpaschim Province, including Baitadi, have remained out of communication services. 



Nepal Telecom Baitadi Chief Bikram Tamata shared that mobile, telephone and internet services have remained disrupted due to glitches in optical fiber along the Attariya-Dadeldhura pathway.

He further said that Baitadi, Darchula, Dadeldhura, Bajhang, Doti, Achham and Bajura have been incommunicado. 


The telecom services that went out of gear since 2:00 PM on Tuesday have not yet resumed. Information officer for the District Administration Office, Baitadi, Khagendra Bharati shared that service delivery has been affected with the disruption in mobile, telephone and internet services. 


"In the absence of the internet, we could not provide administrative services such as collection of details for national identity cards and distribution of citizenship certificates," he further shared.
