Separate desk established at CDO offices to address complaints of loan shark victims

KATHMANDU, March 19: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has directed the district administration offices to collect the complaints and petitions of loan-shark victims and address their grievances immediately. For that, the ministry has instructed the  CDO offices to establish a desk under the leadership of an officer-level employee.

KATHMANDU, March 19: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has directed the district administration offices to collect the complaints and petitions of loan-shark victims and address their grievances immediately. For that, the ministry has instructed the  CDO offices to establish a desk under the leadership of an officer-level employee.


MoHA Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai provided this information through a statement. According to the statement, the desk's staff details, including name, position, email, contact number, mobile number, and other contact information, are required to be publicly accessible on the office's website.

Furthermore, Chiranjibi GM, a section officer at the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as the designated contact person to facilitate coordination with the district administration offices and other relevant agencies in addressing complaints from loan-shark victims.


MoHA has also released contact information, including the phone number and email address, for individuals to register complaints related to loan sharking. The public can send messages via Viber and WhatsApp to the number 9851360603. Additionally, they can reach out via phone at 01-4211257 or utilize the toll-free number 1112 for assistance.
