SEJON organizes training for journalists

KATHMANDU, March 29: Society of Economic Journalists-Nepal (SEJON) and Ministry of Commerce and Supplies organized a discussion program aimed at the capacity building of journalists covering the economy beat, in Kathmandu on Friday. The program was facilitated by Nepal Enhanced Capacities for Trade and Development (NECTRADE).

Experts from different areas familiarized the participating journalists with the terms and agreements that govern domestic, bilateral, regional and multilateral trade. They also briefed the participants about important issues that dominate Nepal"s economic scene at present. Television and print journalists from major media houses of the country took part in the training program. The speakers included Prachanda Man Shrestha of Nepal Tourism Board, Ratnakar Adhikari of Sawtee, Jib Raj Koirala, Purushottam Ojha and journalist Saroj Kafle, among others.
