KATHMANDU, March 15: An application has been filed at the National Information Commission (NIC) after Madhav Narayan Municipality of Rautahat refused to provide expenses made for development projects in the municipality.
Nitesh Kumar Gupta, a local leader of the Nepali Congress, filed the complaint at the commission demanding that the information related to development expenses, details of staffers recruited by the municipality, invoices and minutes be provided. Gupta has sought the information about social security budget distributed so far, health budget and money spent in agriculture and money given to I/NGOs as part of social activities from the commission after the municipality refused to provide the information these matters.
RTI application filed against FNCCI
Gupta said the application was filed after Mayor Birendra Prasad Yadav didn't heed the request to provide information as demanded.
