Speaking to a team of journalists who visited his residence this morning, Dahal stated that present time is not suitable to seek an alternative to the incumbent government.[break]
Dahal also expressed his unhappiness over the parties for seeking alternative to the Regmi-led government as these parties earlier had forged an 11-point deal and 25-point agreement for removing constitutional difficulties prior to formation of the current government.
Dahal further informed that date for new CA elections will be declared on Wednesday for third week of the November. He added that an understanding has also been made on the issue in his meeting with chairman of Interim Election Government, Khilraj Regmi this morning itself.
On the occasion, Dahal also urged not to cast any doubts on the upcoming CA polls as political parties and government are committed to hold free and fair elections within the stipulated time frame.
Saying that his party has no any reservations on the provision of eligibility threshold in allocation of seats under the proportional quota, Dahal, however, clarified that such provision should not be incorporated in the election laws for the sake of ensuring the representation of fringe parities in the new CA.
