Security forces rescue six people trapped in snow

Security forces rescued six individuals who were trapped in the snow while traveling from Humla to Taklakot in neighboring China.

KATHMANDU, March 14: Security forces rescued six individuals who were trapped in the snow while traveling from Humla to Taklakot in neighboring China.



Nepal Police Deputy Spokesperson DSP Shailendra Thapa said six residents of Humla set out from Namkha Rural Municipality-6, Yari, to Taklakot but got stuck in the snow at Naralek, near Hilsa, on Saturday evening.

After receiving information about their situation, a joint security team comprising the Armed Police Force Nepal Border Outpost (BOP) Hilsa and Nepal Police launched a rescue operation.


Thapa said the team rescued them at around 8 PM from a location approximately 10 kilometers southeast of the BOP and brought them back to Hilsa.
