SIMKOT, August 6: Schools in the southern belt of Humla district have resumed physical classes after no cases of coronavirus were reported in the district in recent days.
The schools at Tanjakot, Adanchuli and Chankheli rural municipalities resumed teaching learning activities, according to Chief Administrative Officer at Adanchuli Rural Municipality, Tanka Datt Pyakurel. “All schools in Adanchuli are reopened after there were no active cases of coronavirus,” he added.

He claimed that schools have adopted adequate health and safety measures. Chairman of Adanchuli Rural Municipality Dal Phadera, said that schools were closed for long which badly impacted children's education. So, the rural municipality decided to reopen the schools.
There are 18 community schools in Adanchuli. Similarly, Tanjakot Rural Municipality has already resumed the schools. As the federal government had given authority to the local governments to decide on reopening of schools in view of the threat of coronavirus, it began teaching learning activities. However, the upper belt of the district- Simkot, Kharpunath and Sarkegad- are yey to take decision to resume schools.
