BEJHAD, April 13: Bijay Budha Magar, chair of Teachers Association Palpa, has been arrested on the charge of his alliance with the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) led by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplab’.
The Association is considered to have its alignment with the party. He was arrested Friday from the district headquarters Tansen, the District Police Office, Palpa confirmed.
He was taken under the police control as he was on the way to the Education Unit Coordination Committee, Palpa to receive an appointment letter following his qualification in the internal exam of Teachers’ Service Commission, Superintendent of Police Bishwamani Pokhrel said.
He has been kept at the DPO and is under investigation and the prosecution will begin Sunday.
Presently, he is a teacher at the Juthapauwa-based Kuwari Basic School of Rainadevi Chhahara rural municipality-6. It may be noted that the government has banned the Biplab-led group’s activities since March 12.
