KATHMANDU, Nov 28: Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Ltd (SCBNL) Saturday organized ‘Walkathon 2016’ with a slogan ‘A Walk for a Brighter Tomorrow’ to raise funds in partnership with its stakeholders for creating awareness amongst the public on the subject of avoidable blindness.
Issuing a statement, the commercial bank said that the funds raised from the event will be donated to its ‘Seeing is Believing’ program through which eye and eye care services are conducted. Under the program, the bank has already provided Rs 100 million each to Biratnagar Eye Hospital and Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology.
