SC upholds decision to name Nirola acting CEO

KATHMANDU: Subash Nirola finally become the acting chief executive officer (CEO) of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).



According to a press statement issued by NTB, the single bench of Acting Chief Justice Damodar Prasad Sharma on Monday upheld the decision taken by 187th meeting of the executive committee of NTB held on July 15 regarding Nirola´s appointment. Sharma also revoked the decision made by Appellate Court Patan on August 25 which challenged the decision of NTB and ordered not to implement it. [break]



Nirola joined NTB as a director in 2000 and was the senior most director before he was appointed as officiating CEO. “I am fully committed to promote Nepal´s tourism in different level and will work for it,” the statement quoted Nirola as saying.
