KATHMANDU, Aug 9: The Supreme Court is announce its verdict on Friday as hearing on the writ petition registered citing suspended Director General of Department of Inland Revenue, Chudamani Sharma was kept in custody illegally concluded on Wednesday.
A full bench of judges—Deepak Raj Joshi, Dip Kumar Karki, Kedar Prasad Chalise, Sharada Prasad Ghimire and Anil Kumar Sinha concluded hearing on the case.
Sharma was kept under custody after the Special Court ordered to carry out investigation by keeping him under custody. However, he is now under judicial custody since Tuesday after SC's order.
Kalpana Upreti, wife of Sharma, on July 11 had registered a writ petition making the Special Court as defendant, and arguing that her husband was kept under custody illegally. RSS
