The apex court´s ruling on Wednesday implies that, KB Limbu, managing director of NAC, should take instructions from Kansakar, who was appointed as the executive chairman of the state-owned airline company a few weeks ago, and act accordingly.
This verdict came in response to a case filed by Limbu around 15 days ago. Limbu had filed the petition soon after knowing that Kansakar´s appointment as executive chairman meant his executive powers to run the company had been transferred to Kansakar.
After the case was filed, the court on July 29 issued an interim order against the government´s decision to hand over the executive powers to run NAC to Kansakar. This had meant Limbu had once again become NAC´s chief.
But on Wednesday the court said that stay order was needed against the petition filed by Limbu, meaning that the court has put Kansakar at the helm of NAC once again.
