The session bench of Justices Hari Krishna Karki and Ananda Mohan Bhattarai has refused to issue an interim order following the hearing on the four writs demanding against the PSC’ s announcement of recruiting for the several posts at the local levels.

With the decision, the apex court has paved the way for PSC to carry on the recruitment process. The PSC had announced 9161 vacancies at 515 local units on May 29. Nearly 400,000 people have already applied for the jobs. The vacancy announcement has stirred controversy over allegations that seats were not properly allocated among the various communities and other groups.
