KATHMANDU, April 24: The Supreme Court has ordered to release DIG Nawaraj Silwal immediately.
A single bench of Chief Justice Sushila Karki issued an order to release the detained DIG Silwal in the presence of his lawyer Shambhu Thapa and SC registrar Nrip Dhoj Niraula.
Nepal Police has detained DIG Nawarj Silwal its control and taken to Nepal Police headquarters to record his statement.
The government has recently directed Nepal Police to investigate on DIG Silwal for tampering the classified government documents.
Nepal Police had formed an investigation committee led by a DIG after the government directed the police headquarters to probe the document tampering.
