On coming Monday, there will be a hearing on whether the hospital would be obliged to demolish the structures built without the map approval on public land. A written response including the reason why the hospital had to demolish the structure has been sought by the SC.
Mayor Balendra Shah himself had come to hand over the notice, urging Norvic Hospital to remove its structures on the public land. In the notice, he had argued that Norvic Hospital raised the structures as canteen in the public land with plot number 2,085 (area 1-8-1-1), which is against the contract with Nepal government. Moreover, it was established without map approval and building code.
The hospital had filed a writ petition at SC against KMC directive order on Tuesday.
