Ojha was appointed in the second week of Falgun despite allegedly lacking the minimum required experience. The government reportedly altered the age and eligibility criteria to facilitate his appointment.
Advocate Indira Dhamala filed the writ on March 30, claiming Ojha submitted fake documents and lacked experience in organized institutions. Justice Nahakul Subedi had issued a show-cause order on April 2 in response.
Later, on May 18, a bench of Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut and Justice Nityananda Pandey ordered the government to present the documents used as the basis for Ojha's appointment.
