KATHMANDU, Nov 11: The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday directed the government authorities to introduce regulations to control black marketing and other social crime within the next six months.

Responding to a writ petition filed by Consumer Rights Protection Forum, the division bench of SC justices Prem Sharma and Sushila Karki issued such a directive.

"The bench hereby directs the authorities to formulate regulations under the provisions of Black Market and Social Crimes Control Act 2032 BS," read the SC directive, adding, "Authorities are also directed to appoint an official to oversee market price."
