KATHMANDU, Feb 6: Supreme Court (SC) has refused to register a writ petition against Chie Justice Gopal Prasad Parajuli.
Mahendra Upadhyaya, registrar at the SC, has refused to register the writ petition filed by petitioner Manoj Adhikari, citing lack of logical ground.
A provision has it that a complainant’s petition can be quashed if it does not have logical ground for registration.
Adhikari had filed a case against Chief Justice Parajuli arguing that he committed a contempt of court by intimidating advocate Dr. Surendra Bhandari who had assisted Dr Govinda KC in seeking impeachment against Chief Justice.
