Invited to bat first after losing the toss, SBI garnered 83/2 in the allotted five overs. Min Bahadur Gurung of the winning side topscored with a blistering 34 runs off seven deliveries with two boundaries and four sixes. Manish Kumar Shrestha was not out on 13, while Ananda Upadhyaya (12) and Robert Shrestha (8) also contributed to the team´s huge total. They received 16 runs from extras.
Ujjwal Khadka and Prayas Khadka claimed one wicket apiece of SBI.
Following the run chase, Standard Chartered could manage only 63 runs losing two wickets. Subash Sharma, topscoring with 23, was the only player to score in double figures for Standard Chartered. Ujjwal Khadka (3) and Roshan Thapa (9) remained unbeaten while Shekhar Karki scored nine runs.
Durga Bhattarai and Sandeep Upadhyaya pocketed one wicket each for SBI.
In the semifinal matches held earlier in the day, SBI Bank had registered a narrow five-run win over Kantipur Group while Standard Chartered had defeated Indian Embassy by six wickets.
Monish Kumar Shrestha of the winners was adjudged the player of the series. Prayash Shrestha of the runners-up received the best bowler award while Arjun Dhwaj Khadka of Laxmi Bank won the best batsman award. Mohan KC of NMB Bank took home the best fielder award.
Cricket Association of Nepal President Binaya Raj Pandey, Etihad Airlines Country Manager Ken Marshal, Soaltee Crowne Plaza GM Vini K Gupta and General Manager of United Spirits Nepal G Mullick gave away the prizes.
