Saudi Arabia to host FIFA World Cup 2034

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the competition, three matches of the tournament will also be held in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay in 2030.

KATHMANDU, Dec 12: The FIFA World Cup 2034 will be held in the Asian nation of Saudi Arabia. With 48 teams participating, this edition of the tournament will be the first ever 48-nation World Cup to be hosted by a single nation.


The matches will take place in 15 stadia across five host cities in Saudi Arabia including Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, Abha, and Neom.

After the completion of construction of King Salman International Stadium in Riyadh with a capacity of 92,000 audience, it is estimated that the opening and final matches will be held there.


According to the BBC, four stadiums have been built out of 15 stadiums where the match will take place. Similarly, Spain, Portugal and Morocco will jointly host the 2030 World Cup.


In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the competition, three matches of the tournament will also be held in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay in 2030.
