KATHMANDU: Chairperson of Nepal Sadbhavana Party (NSP) Sarita Giri has said that the six-point deal reached between High Level Political Committee and the Federal Democratic Front-led by Upendra Yadav is against the interests of Madhes.

“HLPC should be dissolved as it has been taking anti-Madhesi decisions one after the other,” she added. Speaking to Republica, NSP Spokesperson Govinda Sah said, “The deal reached between Upendra Yadav and the government is against the interests of Madhesis as it has ignored the demand for constituency delineation on the basis of population.” [break]

He also accused Upendra Yadav of being working as agent of UCPN (Maoist). Sah said his party chairperson would stage fast-unto-death until their demands are met. Giri on Tuesday launched a hunger strike in the capital demanding a review of the number of election constituencies for the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) election.
