RAJBIRAJ, June 19: The police in Saptari have arrested a 47-year-old man on charges of human trafficking.


Yaswant Singh of Rajbiraj Municipality – 4 is accused of selling a woman of Bathnaha VDC of Saptari with 'Yadav' surname in Darbhanga of India on February 15, 2015.

Singh is a nephew of Nepal Sadbhawna Party founding Chairman, late Gajendra Narayan Singh.


The victim's kin had filed a case at the District Police Office and the Appellate Court Rajbiraj on March 9, 2015 on basis of which Singh was arrested, Saptari's Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Dan Bahadur Karki said.


Police have launched further investigation against Singh, according to the District Police Office, Saptari. RSS
