NEPALGUNJ, Sept 5: People have formed a human chain in the no man’s land near Jamunaha checkpoint in Nepalgunj on the occasion of National Day against Human Trafficking on Monday.
People from different walks of life including administrators from Nepal and India, security officials, representatives from social organizations, students, and teachers were present in the demonstration.
An inter-country human chain was formed on Monday morning at the organization of the District Development Committee, Banke.
Locals prevent Indian company from digging no mans' land
Speaking at the program, Chief District Officer of Banke Rabilal Panthi, Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Nanpara, India SP Sukla, Chief of District Police Office, Banke, SP Tek Prasad Rai, Chief of Police of Nanpara, India Ajaya Bhadauriya, among others, expressed their views saying that the human trafficking could be minimized at the mutual cooperation between the two countries.
