BUTWAL, March 1: A last-gasp goal from Sushil KC sent CMG Club Sankata into the final of the 19th Tilottama Gold Cup Football Tournament on Wednesday.
Sushil who came as second-half substitute in the match scored the winning goal in the stoppage time for Sankata in it's 2-1 victory over Himalayan Sherpa Club.
Now, the A Division outfit will take on the winner between host Rupandehi XI and Tribhuvan Army Club in the summit clash.
In the first semifinal clash played at ANFA Technical Center, Butwal, Himalayan Sherpa took lead with Chetan Kumar Tharu's goal in the 26th minute. But Sankata found the equalizer after African recruit Martins pulled a goal for the finalist just two minutes before the normal time.
When the match was seemingly heading toward extra time, Sushil netted a brilliant goal in a one-versus-one situation against opponent goalkeeper to help Sankata seal the 2-1 victory.
