Sandeep is one wicket away from record-breaking 100 wickets

KATHMANDU, March 16: After taking one wicket against the UAE in the World Cup League-2 last match held today at the ground in Kirtipur, Sandeep Lamichhane has come close to the record of completing 100 wickets in ODIs.

Afghanistan's spinner Rashid Khan, who is at the top of this list, has completed 100 wickets in 44 matches. Sandeep has taken 99 wickets in 41 matches. With one more wicket today, he will surpass Rashid and create a new record.

Sandeep has completed only 72 wickets in League-2. Oman's Bilal Khan is the highest wicket-taker in League-2 with 76 wickets. Bilal achieved this success in 35 games.
