SAFF Championship: Nepal drawn in tough group with India and Kuwait

KATHMANDU, May 17: Nepal has been drawn with India, Kuwait and Pakistan in the upcoming SAFF Championship being held in Bangalore, India, from June 21.

KATHMANDU, May 17: Nepal has been drawn with India, Kuwait and Pakistan in the upcoming SAFF Championship being held in Bangalore, India, from June 21.


The group stage draw for the championship was held in New Delhi on Wednesday.


Kuwait, which is not in South Asia, has been invited to take part in it along with Lebanon by SAFF to make the competition better.

Lebanon has been drawn in group B with Bhutan, Bangladesh and the Maldives.


Nepal has never won the SAFF Championship and have only reached the final once.


The tournament will conclude on July 4.
