Twenty-year-old Sahana Bajracharya (Contestant No. 12) was crowned the first runner-up and19-year-old Sanyukta Timsina (Contestant No. 9) was the second runner up. [break]
The event was telecast live by Nepal Television.
Of the 80 applicants, 50 were shortlisted and 18 were chosen for the final.
The selected contestants were given a six-week training.
The theme for the beauty pageant this year was environmental change.
The winner of the title will also be a goodwill ambassador for Nepal Cancer Relief Society and for World Wildlife Fund for Nature, Nepal.
Besides, she will also receive a Chery QQ3 car and a cash prize of Rs 50,000 while the first runner-up will be handed a 125 CC Mahindra Scooter and Rs 35,000 in cash prize.
