SAARC Secretariat donates US $1,249 for flood-hit

KATHMANDU: Officials at the SAARC Secretariat in Kathmandu have provided US$ 1,249 to Nepal government as a token of contribution towards the flood-hit people in far western Nepal. [break]



According to a press statement issued by SAARC Secretariat in Kathmandu Thursday, Secretary General Ahmed Saleem presented a check to Foreign Secretary Durga Prasad Bhattarai. During the meeting with Foreign Secretary Bhattarai, Secretary General Salem expressed that he and his colleagues at the SAARC Secretariat were deeply saddened over the loss of many lives and damage to the colossal properties, caused by the recent floods in the western region of Nepal.
