Ruling NCP leaders hold emergency meeting after govt’s decision to dissolve parliament

KATHMANDU, Dec 20: Hours after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli decided to dissolve parliament, leaders of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) are currently holding an emergency meeting at Executive Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s residence in Khumaltar.

The NCP leaders are holding the meeting to discuss the evolving political situation. 

Senior leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal, Jalanath Khanal, vice-chairman Bam Dev Gautam, spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha and among others are attending the meeting. 

An emergency cabinet meeting called by PM Oli this morning had decided to recommend to President Bidya Devi Bhandari to dissolve parliament.
