Earlier Gurung had appeared before the court in a case related to the murder attempt of Birdhoj Khadka, a local resident of Dolakha. Khadka accused Gurung of attempting to kill him at Gaushala Kathmandu ahead of the 2017 general elections.
The Kathmandu District Court had issued an arrest warrant against Gurung last Wednesday.
