KATHMANDU, August 31: A meeting of the ruling coalition is being held today. The meeting is going to be held at 5 PM.

Today’s meeting is scheduled to finalize the issue of seat distribution of the House of Representatives among the ruling coalition parties. Before the alliance meeting, the parties are discussing the matter separately in their respective parties.

The top leaders of Nepali Congress (NC) are in a meeting at Baluwatar. The meeting is being held to make a common opinion about how many seats the NC should claim.

The five-party alliance formed a task force on August 5, deciding to coordinate with each other in the elections to the House of Representatives and provincial assemblies slated for November 20.
