KATHMANDU, August 4: The ruling coalition has suggested the government to announce the date for Provincial Assembly and Federal Parliament elections. Sources said the ruling parties have already reached to an understanding to hold both the elections on November 20.
A meeting of the ruling alliance held at the Official Residence of the Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba at Baluwatar on Wednesday suggested the government announce the election date, according to Chairman of the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, Upendra Yadav. However, the meeting did not discuss in detail about the exact date of the election.
Chairman Yadav further said that an agreement was reached to give continuity to the alliance till the upcoming elections. The next meeting of the five-party alliance would be held on Friday morning.

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal, JSP Nepal Chairman Yadav, as well as top leaders of the ruling parties were present in the Wednesday’s meeting.
