KATHMANDU, Sept 19: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is going to select the leadership for the ward-level committees through elections from October 27 to November 2.

The RSP has announced that the list of those selected to the working committees will be published on November 6.

Each of the RSP's ward committees consists of 11 members, including Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Secretary, all of whom will be elected. The party mandates that at least one member from the Dalit community be included among the 11, with four women and six individuals under the age of 45.

The party has also made provisions for an online application process for ward-level committee positions. The registration period for candidates runs from September 19 to October 7, with Rs 100 fee required to apply. General Secretary Mukul Dhakal has stated that ward-level meetings have been halted from today to facilitate the formation of ward committees.

In order to build the organization of RSP in the wards, a notice was issued earlier to update the wards that were formed through the gathering within July 1 by mid-July. RSP’s Joint Secretary and Head of Organization Department Kabindra Burlakoti said that the deadline for organizing and updating the meeting has been extended twice.
