KATHMANDU, March 11: A central committee meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is underway at the Banasthali-based party's central office to discuss the upcoming by-elections to the House of Representatives (HoR).
According to the party’s central member and joint-spokesperson, Pratibha Rawal, the party's registration for the by-poll and electoral preparations are the agenda of discussions in the meeting.
HoR meeting postponed following RSP's opposition
The meeting is primarily focused on the by-election going to be held in Ilam-2, the seat that has been lying vacant since the demise of UML leader Subash Chandra Nembang. The Election Commission has announced the election for April 27.
The latest political developments are also on today’s agenda for discussions, according to the party's HoR member and central member Binita Kathayat.
